Anxiety
is a self-defeating profile of personality.
If
one fears losing what one has, there is anxiety. If one desperately
anticipates achieving what one does not have, there is anxiety.
For
an anxious person only the status quo provides a momentary relief
from anxiety. Any possibility of change aggravates it.
Funniest
thing about anxiety is that, at times, it is present without any
obvious or even a remote possibility of losing or not achieving
something! One does not know why, all of a sudden without any
reason, the heartbeat has increased, the breathing has become
difficult and anxiety has enveloped the whole being.
Anxiety
has a slow poisoning effect on health. All enjoyment vanishes
when anxiety is present.
In
fact, anxiety kills a man much before his normal death is scheduled.
