A
good number of people are always in mental hurry to finish
any and every work in hand as early as possible, irrespective
of whether the situation warrants for such a hurry or not.
The work at hand can be as trivial as taking breakfast or
as important as completing a crucial project, mental hurry
is always present.
Mental
hurry is different from the swiftness of action. Rather
it makes the action clumsy and chaotic disabling the person
from doing it rightly as well as from enjoying what he is
doing. Hence mental hurry is nearer to restlessness.
If
we are in mental hurry, we are not justifying what we are
doing with our integrity. With mental hurry, we are dividing
ourselves in two parts. The first is our unwilling action
on the job in hand. The second part is our unconscious compulsion
to do something else which is more involving than the the
job in hand. Hence, the job in hand must, somehow, be finished
as hurriedly as possible! Thus the mental hurry!!
Mental
hurry plays games with us. It actually insults us and breaks
us down in many incomplete parts. We are never fully with
anything, anywhere, and anytime if we are a victim to mental
hurry. We want to be somewhere but mental hurry holds us
in its clutches so tightly that we are not even able to
figure out and discover our unconscious compulsions to do
something else, sometime else, and somewhere else.
Mental
hurry reduces us to a mechanical puppet in the hands of
the so called urgencies!
