Procrastination
is an excuse for, as long as possible, not doing what one
does not like to do.
But
since it is not always possible to refrain, procrastination
perpetually keeps its pressure mounted on the mind never letting
it relax.
Procrastination
owes its existence to the lethargic patterns of mind which
prefer to re-create past or dream about future rather than
happily accepting the immediate challenges of the present
in an enjoyable way.
This
is what generates procrastination as far as the present work
in hand is concerned.
Hence,
procrastination signifies unfulfilled unconscious tasks of
the past which exert their unconscious pressure to get fulfilled
in the future.
The
ultimate present never supports procrastination, i.e., it
does not put emotional pressures on a person. And when, in
the presence of unconscious pulls of the past, it does not
do so, it becomes dull and hence leads to procrastination!
The
habit of procrastination takes its toll!
Procrastination
proves much costlier than the pleasure of avoidance.
